EAU CLAIRE, WI: Chippewa Valley Move To Amend's October Meet-Up

We're going public this month for the first time by holding our October meet-up at the Infinitea Teahouse! This month's notable attendees will be Eau Claire City Council member, Dana Wachs, as well as Eau Claire County Board member, John DeRosier, who are considering sponsoring a resolutions in support of reversing the Supreme Court's "Citizens United v. FEC" decision.
Come share how unlimited/undisclosed corporate influence of our elections has made an impact on the issues that you care about! We'll need your input as we propose, discuss, and vote on local resolutions to pass.
As our discussions are beginning to form legs and have led to our first instances of activism since our last monthly meeting, we're taking the next step by forming committees to fully utilize our expanding group's diverse skills and interests. We're looking for lots volunteers to sign up for any of the following list of tentative committees during the meet-up:
Activity Committee - plan and execute new activities.
Membership Committee - recruit and educate new members, train outreach speakers, and organize training material.
Referendum Committee - focused on city council and county board resolutions ASAP, and an election referendum in Nov 2012.
Media Outreach Committee - handle public relations with various forms of media.
Community Outreach Committee - work with community groups, churches, individuals, other organizations.
Business Outreach Committee - work with local businesses.
Coalition Outreach Committee - work with allied operations and affiliates.
Looking forward to new faces and new ideas to bring about an amendment to the Constitution to reverse the US Supreme Court decision "Citizens United v. FEC"!
